A Night to Remember in Arizona

Notes from the Road

Saturday, October 8th, was a night to remember. The weather was a perfect 80 degrees with a light breeze coming through the Phoenix Valley.

Guests of a recent conference were taken to Maricopa Wells,by way of hay bale wagons. Maricopa Wells is an old western town at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort. Margaritas and beer awaited them at their arrival. After enjoying a refreshing libation, guests were escorted to the vast lawn area of Maricopa where dinner was to be served, but not before some lively entertainment. A Trick Gun Slinger and Trick Roper showed off their skills to the crowd. Then, a local celebrity, Frosty the Bull, showed up for a photo opportunity. Shortly thereafter, guests were treated to country western style music from “Mike T and the Band.” After dining, many of the guests took dance lessons from the line dance instructors there to help anyone who needed a little extra coaching. They danced well into the night for a truly memorable evening.
